Heidi--
You have that rare ability to connect your current reality with both your reader's experience and our dreams! Your personal victory reminds us of those moments when we exceeded our bodies limitations and found a reserve of courage and strength we never knew was there.

Like everyone else who reads this, I am so proud of you and am blessed to share in your joy!

Heidi,

What can I say - you bring life to every ride and your story telling ability is second to none.

Congratulations! This is inspiring, partly because I'm on a similar curve - haven't yet done a century but know it's now possible and just around the corner. I think I'm making a date with the Pioneer Century in June. And if that goes well, I want to start riding brevets with the Oregon Randonneurs.

I think I saw you guys at the rest stops--you all looked great. That last 10 miles was really hard.

I just wanted to let you know my son is 11 and a wrestler. He tried it for the first time this year and happened to start 6 years after the competition and started in the most difficult weight class. I always have him read your posts because they are so inspiring. He's read the post about the brakes being stuck about 10 times. I'm sure he'll read this one over and over too. Thanks. Although cycling and wrestling are very different sports he identifies with the upward struggle and the desire to overcome the physical and mental to achieve goals.
