Kristin,
Uma is right. Crossfit is great - it was actually started by a former colleague of the guy who does my boot camp. It's SUPER SUPER intense. If I was only working out and not trying to do all this other crap at the same time - this is where I'd be.

Kristin:

Try Crossfit. Similar, but different sort of a** kicking.

Man, I admit it... I'm total jealous! Does that sound insane? I considered signing up for that, but it was filled when I looked into it. I wonder if there are any other similar ones around... I just can't seem to get myself to do those sorts of workouts on my own. Maybe I should compile a list of bootcamp-type workouts and just make myself do them.

I know. I have an overlap here of boot camp and USGP prep so I'm going to skip Thurs/Fri of camp this week so I can taper!

Hey! I go to Core Power Yoga here, too. I do the C1 level class... is there a more general fitness class at your Core Power?

Boot Camp varies a lot, so one day would be a lot of isometrics similar to yoga and then the next will be squat thrusts, burpees, hill sprints, lunges, and push-ups. It's a total surprise every day, which is what I really like about it (and why it's so effective for me - lots of muscle confusion)

I've been doing CorePower yoga several times a week for a few years now. It's kinda like what boot camp sounds like, only not compressed into a limited time period. Sure is good to have core strength before cyclocross season!
