Moments

  • USGP #6 in a Typhoon – the moment I dumped my bike on the last lap of my first B race. In the icy mud-puddle, just before I jumped up I had an incredible moment of clarity in which the full impact of my cyclocross progress hit me square on.
  • Third chocolate martini on the night I left my old job to start my own gig.  Damn.  Good moment.
  • Opening the email that told me my business was "official".
  • Move in day at my photography studio.
  • Opening the box that contained my new 5D.
  • The day I sold my first photo.
  • This moment in bootcamp (pain cave)
  • Finally getting back to the car after this death hike with my cousin
  • My first full bridge in bootcamp
  • The day I learned to hit opposite field
  • This moment at estacada (Best Day Ever!!!)

Great list! But I`m still crankin Rage Agianst The Machine before every race and training ride! And I`m a Shimano pedal kinda guy, but it looks as though we parouse the same cross sites, although I really like Brooke Hoyer`s Laast Ronde for a very detailed perspective on what is happening in the mud! Cheers to 08!

Yes! Laaste Ronde is great! i also love mud and cowbells… which is in my blogroll and should have made the list.

As for music, I stuck with NWA, Junior Mafia, Eazy E, D.R.E. and NAS for pre-race, but only albums released in 2007 qualified for the list, so the mid-90’s gansta rap didn’t qualify. :)

    Bring on 2008!

um – missing one – all the great new people you met this year by immersing yourself in cross and being your rad self!

we should probably share music… good taste, my friend!
