Hope you're feeling better, hon. That is terrible to be down-and-out like that.

Yeah, you were looking surprisingly rough over post-race soup. Sorry you got hit so quickly - the drive home sounds rough.

But despite the 5k distance and coming down with the flu, you carried us to a win! You rock in all conditions :)

Hope you're feeling much, much better now.

Hope that you both are feeling better. The only race that sucks more than the 5000 is the 3000. I guess if one had more fast twitch it could be argued that at least the 3k is over more quickly.
As far as the "career" thing goes, I can relate to that too. I don't mean to be patronizing but it doesn't all have to be done overnight. Maybe the best analogy would be marathon vs 5k.
There's a lot I'd LIKE to say but I'll spare you from all that old guy rant for now.....
Hope to see you and Sal at the Rehearsal RR!?!?
Be well.

I did the same thing on Saturday! Ran 10.5 miles while not feeling great and passed Sunday in a blur of tissues and throat coat tea.

Take care of yourself. :)

Oh, ouch, I've done that before. Didn't feel so hot while riding to PIR. Did the race (in the rain, which didn't help) and felt pretty awful afterwards. When I finally got home, I was full-on sick. Yuck.

Hope you're back in action soon.
