Portland Deep Freeze 2008: WTF

Seriously.  This is a little crazy, no?

I woke up to over a foot of accumulation, with flakes still coming down.  Riding the mountain bike on the side streets, even with studded tires, is hard.  Regardless, I’m headed out one more time in an attempt to make it to my studio so that I can cut together a little video.

    I’ve been riding a little on my cross bike using regular file tread tires. And I thought mud was slippery!

    I can’t even believe that, Erik. I just made it to my studio – it took 45 minutes opposed to the 12 or so it usually takes. I was surprised by which roads were good and which were bad. Ladd’s Addition was smooth as a baby! They must have their own private plows or something…
