Single Speed World Championships – The Pre-Party

1 Comment 08 November 2008Print This Post

SSCXWC contenders descended upon a time-trial qualifying course at a secret location in Portland today.  I was there for the start, but I had to work so I could not return to the shenanigans until later in the night when the second-chance race left from Vanilla Bicycles HQ.

All hands were on deck for beer, bikes and a second shot at glory.  Second-chance participants were subject to a street race that involved VooDoo donuts, beer acquired from a private residence, and french kisses on Mount Tabor.

In the meantime, Sal and I enjoyed the scenery in Sacha’s well-appointed shop and stormed the keg with the infamous (and quite shifty) Brad Ross.

Enjoy.

See you for the mayhem in the morning.  Bring banana peels.  And dollar bills. Or something.
